DAE File Viewer

1:16 AM, Posted by Jim Foley, 7 Comments

So, I've made a DAE File Viewer. It allows you to view your DAE files and it offers slider based runtime controls. I'll keep this short and list a few benefits of the DAE File Viewer and you can decide if you wanna give it a shot.

Nicities...
• Built for Papervision 2.0
• Has increased playback speed (as compared to PV3D 1.5)
• Has simple slider component based user interaction.
• Components are easily skinned and styled.
• Over time, additional "add-on widgets" will be made available.

Hi Jim -

Thanks for posting. The source .zip link seemed to be broken when I looked at this. Could you please take a look?

Thanks,

Scott

The site that the source files are on is currently down. It should be back up at the end of the day.

Hi Jim,
there is problem in getting content (I'd like to get DAE Viewer) from content.madvertices.com.
Every attempt to get something from that server finishes with error message:

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

Best regard,
Radek

Hey guys, sorry but it doesn't support Texture files. It only supports simple color materials.

Nope! It works fantastic with my textures. Edit your collada files and make sure the reference is ./filename and not something longer. How about making one of these with mouse controls for interaction (no mouseWheel please), Thanks!!
